Wedding Wall

It's been about six months since I got married, and we're definitely ready to get a few wedding pictures framed and up on our walls.

At first I wasn't really happy with the photos (mostly due to self-criticism), but it's been a while since I've even looked at them. Now, I love so many of them it's going to be hard to choose which ones are best for hanging up. Good thing my husband will be able to help me.

A great day, a great man, a great dress and a great rental car!

My goal for this weekend is to pick out a few photo "candidates," and order a few simple frames online. I really like these aluminum ones from Room and Board, as well as how they've been arranged here:

I will share the final results in a different post. And just to keep this somewhat fashion related, here's a close up of my husband's dapper furnishings on our wedding day. You wouldn't believe how long it look me to find just the right pocket square.

I love a man who isn't afraid of pink accessories...

Any readers out there who have a wall-space dedicated to their wedding day (or significant-other relationship)? Please share in the comments. I'd love to hear how you decorate with your own photos. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Your pics are drop dead gorgeous! Love them.

We had a wedding wall for a while with details just in 4x6 ikea frames when we lived in SB. When we moved we just didn't hang it up again--I think we wondered how long we should focus on wedding stuff in our home. Though now we wish we had some wedding photos framed nicely for view.

Your project will look great...can't wait to see it.

We put up pictures of the two of us during the reception with the sunset. We also have a photo up of myself and the bridesmaids, which were my two sisters, my sister in law and my sorority sister!

I just went through the same thing - I have so many photos but don't want to build a shrine to myself. I think a wedding wall is totally acceptable for the first couple of years, especially with gorgeous photos like yours, but then it gets a little weird if you don't have any other art.

I went to a party at a home where on every wall there were big color photos from 8 years ago and it was kinda strange. The bride didn't even look the same anymore.

I think after a couple of years you should keep it confined to a single space like a hallway or your bedroom. Congrats on the wedding - it looks like it was gorgeous!

Lovely photos!
We have a couple of wedding photos up in our house: one in our bedroom and I love it because we were having a laughing attack while signing the register with the Minister. It's fun and unexpected.
The other photo is just of my husband as he stands outside the church and waits for me. He looks a little concerned but mostly excited, waiting for it all to begin... that photo hangs in our second floor family room, away from the more public spaces of the main floor.
I also have a tiny photo here on my desk. Now that I look at it I can't believe how big my veil was, it was only in 2000 but it looks a bit dated!

I'm with Haley - it's cute for a few years, and after that, I feel one or two in the public rooms is nice. As many as you want in your bedroom or hall or whatever :)

You two look amazing! Love what you chose for DH!

Your photos are beautiful. I liked mine ok when I first recvd them and then loved them later. Expectations are so high. We have 4 wedding photos in different places, but they're small. Like 3x5 - 5x7.

Thanks for the input, everyone. I love hearing what you all did with your photos.

I definitely am not going for a "shrine" effect (that never occurred to me!), so we'll most likely downgrade to a few photos on a bookshelf. Will post the results once they're done. :)

great post! I have been thinking about this as well, it will be hard to choose a small(ish) selection of photos to display.... What did you end up doing?
