No clothes, just wedding Registries

Peeps, I just discovered the most fun thing of all about planning a wedding: the REGISTRY. My fiance and I spent 4 1/2 hours downtown last Saturday, scanning our hearts away. Williams-Sonoma kicked us out at around 8:30pm after they had closed, I'm not kidding. It was quite the exciting Saturday-night date, I'll tell ya.

If my fiance and I can agree on one thing, it's kitchen supplies. Woohoo!

Oh, and is it a bad thing that these are the two registry items that I'm most excited about? (Besides actually having a complete dinner set. But that's like, so practical and boring)

Pillivuyt Cow Creamer
Yes! Almost kitchy but not quite, because it's plain white and French.
Tres provincial chic, no?

And the cutest pig-shaped Cutting /Cheese board EVER!
I die from the cuteness.

I'm turning into such a domestic. Please send help.

Also, my fiance wanted to add some darling kitchen towels with a pretty lemon illustration, "because they're pretty." Why yes, yes we can. This just proves what a metro-fabulous catch he is. ;)

Does anyone have a favorite registry item they asked for, or plan to ask for? Please share your stories!

You are not going to believe it but... I own that Pig-Shaped cutting board! I also die from the cuteness.

Yes, if he also likes things like lemon-stamped tea towels you have found a fab catch!

For our wedding we really wanted, and received, a giant Le Creuset casserole (the one big enough for a turkey, with a lid). It has been central to hundreds of wonderful meals and we still love it!
Also a set of Denby in the "juice" pattern. My Aunt bought us the entire service for eight: great gift!

Oh, my word verify is "groom". I not even kidding.

I learned that we should register for 2 extra place settings in case you break a dish or two through the years. It can be expensive to replace dishes after the pattern isn't produced anymore, and if you bought some kind of large box set it may not be possible.

We had a great time scanning away at Crate and Barrel! We found things we didn't even know we needed... :)

We also loved new pots and pans and decanters!!

Dani: I say, you have excellent taste. ;) We're registering for a couple Le Cruset items as well!

Thanks for the advice everyone -- agree re registering for extra dishes, Haley. Emily, that pizza chopper looks awesome! I think I just found a new thing I didn't know I needed...
